Marquee Text

A single phrase in the scrolling Marquee bar. Add one block per phrase, usually alternating with Marquee Image blocks so a small icon separates each one.

The text never wraps — it scrolls sideways as one line.

Settings

Setting	What it does
Text	The phrase itself. Defaults to “Your text here”.
Text Color	An optional colour override. Leave blank to inherit the colour of the section above it.
Font Size	Small, Base, Large (default), XL or 2XL.
Font Weight	Light, Normal (default), Medium, Semibold or Bold.

Leave Text blank and the block renders nothing.

Where it’s used

In the Marquee section, mixed with Marquee Image blocks.

The marquee is hidden from screen readers

The whole bar is marked decorative, because the same content is repeated three times to make the scroll loop seamlessly — a screen reader would otherwise read every phrase three times over.

That means anything in here is invisible to assistive technology and to search engines. Never put information here that isn’t also somewhere else on the page. It’s for atmosphere, not for messaging that has to land.

Leave Text Color blank

The marquee bar is transparent and picks up its colour from whatever section sits above it, which is what lets it work on light and dark backgrounds alike. Setting a colour here pins it to one, and it will be wrong the moment the section above changes.

Tips

• Keep phrases short. Three to five words. Long phrases mean long gaps between the icons and the rhythm falls apart.
• Set every block the same. Mixing sizes and weights between phrases makes the scroll look accidental rather than designed.
