FAQ Item

One question and its answer, shown as a row that expands when clicked. Used inside the FAQ Section to write questions directly into a page, as the alternative to attaching a reusable FAQ cluster.

Setting What it does
Question The question text, shown on the row itself. Plain text — no formatting.
Answer The answer, revealed when the row is opened. Rich text, so links and lists work.
Open by default Starts the row expanded instead of collapsed.

The block takes its styling from the parent section’s Layout setting, so there’s nothing to match up by hand:

  • Split — a glassmorphic card with a chevron.
  • Stacked — a bordered row with a square plus/minus button.

Change the section’s layout and every FAQ Item inside it follows.

  • Use “Open by default” sparingly. One open row is a hint that the section is expandable; several open rows defeat the point of an accordion.
  • Front-load the answer. The first sentence should answer the question on its own — it’s what search engines and AI assistants quote, since the block feeds the section’s FAQ schema.
  • Repeated across pages? Use a cluster instead. Questions that belong on more than one page should live in an FAQ cluster so they’re maintained once.
