Marquee Image

A small square icon in the scrolling Marquee bar, used as a separator between Marquee Text phrases.

Settings

Setting	What it does
Image	The icon. Renders as a square that grows slightly on larger screens.
Alt Text	Describes the image. Falls back to the alt text set on the image in your media library.
Max Width (px)	Has no effect. See below.
Max Height (px)	Has no effect. See below.
Image Fit	Has no effect. See below.

Leave Image blank and the block renders nothing.

Where it’s used

In the Marquee section, alternating with Marquee Text blocks.

Three settings here do nothing

Max Width, Max Height and Image Fit are leftovers — the marquee sizes every icon identically so the bar keeps an even rhythm, and it ignores these three entirely. Changing them has no visible result on the page.

If an icon is the wrong size, the fix is to re-crop the image file itself and re-upload it. Trim any transparent padding baked into the file — that’s usually why one icon looks smaller than the rest.

The marquee is hidden from screen readers

The whole bar is decorative, so this image’s alt text is never announced. Fill it in anyway for the sake of the media library, but don’t put anything here that a visitor needs to know.

Tips

• Use a simple square mark. These render small — around 44px on a phone. Anything with fine detail or text in it turns to mush.
• Transparent PNG or SVG. The bar’s background comes from the section above, so an icon with a solid white background will sit in a visible box.
