Footer Signup

The Sun-coloured newsletter card that sits at the top of the Footer — a heading and email form on the left, and short blurbs describing what subscribers get on the right.

Every signup goes to Klaviyo. This form does not create Shopify customers, and there is no backup destination — see the caution below.

Setting What it does
Heading The card’s headline. Defaults to “Join our newsletter”.
Email placeholder The grey hint text inside the email field. Defaults to “Your email address”.
Button label The submit button’s text. Defaults to “Subscribe”.
Success message Shown after a successful signup. Defaults to “Thanks for subscribing!”.
Error message Shown when the submission fails. Defaults to “Something went wrong. Please try again.”.
Invalid email message Shown when what’s typed isn’t a valid email address. Defaults to “Please enter a valid email address.”.
Klaviyo
Klaviyo form ID Required. The short code at the end of the form’s URL in Klaviyo under Sign-up forms, e.g. TPTBv2.

Signup Article — the short blurbs beside the form. The footer ships with two.

Only inside the Footer, as a fixed part of the layout.

  • Test after changing the form ID. Submit a real address and confirm it appears in the Klaviyo list. The form looks identical whether or not it’s wired up correctly.
  • Keep the button label short. On narrow screens the button goes full width beneath the input, but on desktop it sits beside it and a long label squeezes the email field.
  • Write your own messages if the defaults don’t sound like the brand. All three status messages are editable, and all three fall back to the wording above if left blank.
