Callout Bar

A full-width tinted strip with a sentence on the left and a button on the right — the “not sure where to start?” prompt that sits under the Features grid.

Unlike most blocks in the theme, this one has its own colour pickers rather than taking its colours from the section. It predates the theme’s colour system; treat the defaults as the intended look.

Settings

Setting	What it does
Disabled	Hides the bar without deleting it. Off by default.
Content
Heading Text	The message. Defaults to “Not sure where to start? Take our quiz to find the perfect product for you.”
Use Quiz	Makes the button open the Alia quiz instead of following a link. Off by default. See the caution below.
Button Text	The button label. Defaults to “Take the quiz”.
Button URL	Where the button goes. Hidden when Use Quiz is on.
Alia Campaign ID	The campaign to open, from the Alia dashboard. Only shown when Use Quiz is on. Required — the button does nothing without it.
Layout
Content Alignment	Space Between (default — text left, button right), Left, Center, or Right.
Full Width	Expands the bar beyond the section’s normal content width. Off by default.
Colors
Background Color	The strip’s fill. Default a soft yellow (#fde68a).
Border Color	The outline. Default a paler yellow (#fef08a).
Text Color	The message colour. Default near-black (#171717).
Button Background	Has no effect — see below.
Button Text Color	Has no effect — see below.
Block ID	Optional anchor ID.

Use Quiz doesn’t currently work

Turning on Use Quiz hides the Button URL field, but the button only renders when a URL is present — so the quiz button never appears. Leave Use Quiz off and give the button a normal URL. If you need an in-page quiz launcher, use a Button block set to “Open the quiz” instead, or ask a developer to fix this block.

The button colour pickers do nothing

Button Background and Button Text Color are shown in the customizer but aren’t applied — the button always uses the theme’s black style. Changing them has no visible result. They’re left in place so existing settings aren’t lost, and should be removed.

Alignment

Space Between is the intended layout and the one the design uses: message on the left, button pushed to the right edge. The other three options group the message and button together and place the pair left, centred or right — useful for a short message, cramped with a long one.

On mobile the bar always stacks: message above, button below.

Tips

• Keep the message to one sentence. The type is set large and doesn’t shrink much; two sentences will push the button well down the page on mobile.
• Only one Callout Bar per section. Repeating the strip drains its urgency.
• Check the contrast if you change the colours. Dark text on the default yellow is readable; a dark background with the default near-black text is not.
